Within this role, I aim to enhance the customer experience and maximise the return on space by: • Ensuring product flows and adjacency principles are followed and implemented. • Standardising the Micro Space allocation and product assortment. • Develop and maintain planograms that align to merchandise principles and strategic direction. • Updating and implementing Merchandising Principles & Planograms via Blue Yonder.

This role has seen me work as a senior team member in store, providing training to staff, rolling out several new layouts and maintaining merchandising standards throughout the store in order to increase the overall store appeal, thus increasing the experience of the customer journey, an important aspect for all retail stores.

Within this job role, I worked as a senior team leader who overlooked smaller teams in order to achieve specific daily results through team engagement, assisting with team learning and development from a merchandising and processes point of view. This coupled with strong project management skills and understanding enabled me to successfully deliver my delegated work well within the timeframes provided whilst still upholding the highest standards of work.

Being an assistant store manager is a more hands-on role where it is critical to lead the team by example and provide assistance where necessary to the manager. Within this rapidly changing environment, I was tasked with motivating and developing the team, building strong customer relations, and sharing knowledge and experience of both the automotive field and crucial internal systems and processes.

Within this role, I was able to utilize my vast understanding and product knowledge within the automotive field which in turn helped in enabling me to best cater to each customer's individual requirements ensuring every need was met. This included assisting customers with purchasing decisions, suggesting specific products and or parts where required, sourcing and placing special orders, and visual merchandising.
