*Directly responsible for the product development process across multiple categories from concept to production. *Develop products that meet or exceed predetermined gross margin targets *Negotiate prices and determine appropriate order placement based on factory capabilities, quality, and delivery; Manage capacity planning across multiple categories *Negotiate with vendors and factories on MOQs and shipment dates *Responsible for leading the engineering of new textiles, synthetic products, and specifying technical requirements for materials used in designs *Responsible for working with material vendors and consultants to understand their capabilities and then translating to design teams *Responsible for designing, developing, negotiating, and producing all SMUs *Partner with manufacturers to develop new materials, construction techniques, processes, and samples to create innovative and technically superior products *Act as team expert and problem solver for all textile initiatives and challenges *Serve as project manager by managing timelines, costs, and performance criteria *Develop materials test procedures as necessary to evaluate new product requirements *Stay abreast of new technology and competitive products by attending trade shows *Travel overseas to meet with agents, factories, and vendors to build relationships, review current production, asses performance, and identify potential opportunities *Confirming all factories are socially compliant *Ensure fabric is calculated and ordered for protos, sales samples, and production *Responsible for validating/reporting all liabilities, excess fabric, and excess charges related to bulk production and samples *Work closely with camo partners on products, contracts, and future business *Approve all color lab dips, handlooms, yarn dyes, and sublimation art *Currently design approximately 40% of the products -- outside consultants design approximately 60% *Patent pending on current designs *Lead outside consultants

Manage tech packs, quality, cost, calendar, and other relevant documentation. Direct and oversee domestic and/or overseas development and manufacturing contractor(s). Manage internal fit process for all new, revised and carry-in garments. Oversee all review meetings specific to assigned development collections. Interface closely with the specific Product Line Managers and the Design team (internal and external) to resolve any design/quality issues that arise during the development process. Make tech pack updates, sketch changes, pattern adjustments, etc as needed based on feedback from review and fit sessions. Participate with conceptualizing and/or receiving new material(s) and trim(s) for the company. Ensure that all required testing and documentation are completed in a timely manner. Work with the specific Product Line Managers, Sourcing, and the Supply Chain Management group to lower costs during development process and work to develop projects to specified cost targets ensuring profitability for the company. Extensive experience working independently both domestically and in Asia developing products with contractors and material suppliers. Negotiate all costs and managing lead-times. Source new factories and visit for initial review.
