Lawyer
Plusextranjeria S.L.
Madrid
Currently, I work as a junior lawyer and administrative manager at Plusextranjería SL, a firm specializing in various areas of law, such as immigration, traffic, inheritance, criminal, civil, and labor law, as well as in second chance law and compliance. The latter field is where I am beginning to specialize, and it has been a significant discovery in my professional career. My career has mainly focused on corporate law, although I have always remained open to exploring new areas of law. In this sense, compliance has deeply captured my interest, and I am in the process of continuing my education in this field. In my daily work, I perform a wide range of tasks related to immigration and administrative management. These include both consultancy and advising clients, as well as operational tasks such as billing, drafting collaboration agreements between lawyers, and working in civil and administrative law. Additionally, I am responsible for preparing legal resources, sending certified mail, client support, drafting archive or withdrawal documents, and communicating with relevant delegations or offices. This multidisciplinary work environment allows me to engage in various areas of law, providing me with a comprehensive view of the different legal specialties. Thanks to this experience, I can develop skills and knowledge in multiple facets of the legal profession, without being limited to a single legal field.

Internships
Madrid
During my time at Gómez Berruezo, I had the opportunity to delve into an area of law that, although unknown to me, piqued my interest: banking law and debt recovery. This experience allowed me to primarily develop my speaking skills in relation to other lawyers, as one of my main responsibilities was to reach an agreement with the opposing parties for the client to pay the outstanding debt. In cases where an agreement was not reached, we would send an extrajudicial letter requesting payment of the debt in order to avoid the need for initiating judicial proceedings. This strategy aimed for an amicable and efficient resolution of conflicts, benefiting both the parties involved and the firm. This experience was extremely enriching as it allowed me to understand the importance of negotiation and alternative dispute resolution in banking law, in addition to strengthening my communication and argumentation skills within the professional practice.

Interships
Madrid
During my internship for the Master’s in Access to Law, I chose to specialize in the procedural side of law, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge of procedural law. This area provided me with a detailed understanding of how procedural deadlines work, the filing of claims, and the development of trials—key aspects that structure judicial proceedings. Additionally, I learned how to conduct case law research and relevant legal actions, which helped me draft claims and develop procedural strategies aimed at achieving a favorable judgment. One of the most enriching aspects of my training was the support and guidance I received from my mentor, one of the firm’s partners, to whom I will always be deeply grateful. His support was crucial in resolving all the questions and challenges that arose during my professional practice. Moreover, I had the opportunity to attend trials with him, which allowed me to observe firsthand how civil proceedings unfold, as my previous experience had been focused on criminal law. This experience, which covered both the theoretical and practical aspects of procedural law, solidified my professional calling, definitively guiding me towards a legal career, where I feel committed and motivated to continue developing my profession.

Interships
Juzgados De Lo Penal
Madrid, Julián Camarillo
During my experience in the courts, I had the opportunity to work directly with my mentors, who were two judges, actively participating in the handling of trials. In this process, I was able to closely observe how judicial proceedings unfolded, understanding the different procedural figures involved, as well as the relevant documentation presented in each case. Additionally, I witnessed the various judicial decisions that were made, including plea agreements or the imposition of sentences in cases where applicable. These trials, involving minor offenses with penalties of less than five years, allowed me to observe a wide range of situations. I had the opportunity to interact with people in different circumstances, from inmates to families or neighbors involved in the cases, which provided me with a comprehensive perspective on the role of the judicial system in these cases. This experience was particularly meaningful to me, as I have always aspired to pursue a career as a judge. However, I also discovered that the role of lawyers was especially appealing to me, particularly regarding the development of procedures and the strategies employed in each of them. This discovery broadened my horizons and sparked a deep interest in better understanding the role lawyers play in the administration of justice.
Education

Compliance
During my participation in the Compliance program at Garrigues, I have gained knowledge in regulatory compliance, both at the national level in Spain and in the application of European regulations. I have also had the opportunity to interact with senior executives from the telecommunications sector, who explained how infringements are managed and sanctioned both nationally and internationally. Additionally, we worked practically on developing risk maps, which allowed me to apply the concepts learned and understand how to identify and manage risks in the day-to-day operations of organizations. Finally, the program has prepared me to take the international CICO exam, which will enable me to work as a Compliance Officer in the future. I am very grateful for this formative experience and excited to apply this knowledge in my professional career.
