New World Angels is one of Florida's oldest and largest angel investor clubs. Since 2014, NWA has invested over $30M+ in early-stage companies and their founders. Our members come from a variety of industries, with direct experience as company founders, advisors, technology leaders, and C-suite executives. Our average NWA investment into a company is about $750K but since 2003 we have completed deals as low as $200K and as high as $2.25M. We are early-stage investors typically investing after family and friend’s contributions, around what is called pre-seed or seed funding, but generally before Series A venture capital growth funding. We focus primarily on Florida startups but we consider the entire US. Endless Frontier Labs (NYU) is an accelerator for technology and life science growth startups from around the globe. Unique is the fact that the program is completely free for the startups. No equity or other fees are taken. There is also no requirement to be associated with NYU even though the program is funded by NYU. The program runs from October till May every year. University of Stuttgart is one of very few universities that offer dual degrees. Students participate in engineering and business classes in parallel. 3 majors need to be selected in the Masters Program. It is a very selective university that only allows 250 students per year. The bachelor and master program is co-funded and supported by large companies including IBM, Siemens, HP, Bosch, Mercedes-Benz to ensure that students are prepared for ‘business life’ and not just academic theory. One of these companies also co-chairs a student’s thesis if there is a suitable topic. During the thesis the student is full-time at the company. The results of the thesis will be implemented at the company. A professor of the university is chairing the thesis and offers support as needed.
