Research: Current research projects involve studies on: measuring evaporation with glass fibre optic cables (DTS) and stable water isotopes which is part of my Veni (NWO). I aim to learn more about the evaporation process by combining new observation techniques in order to provide input for hydrological models and Remote Sensing products. Teaching activities: I am responsible for two courses: 4th year Master course 'Hydrological Measurements' (CIE4440) and 3rd year Minor course 'Meting aan Water' (CT3412MI). Furthermore, I am involved in the yearly field course to Luxembourg ('Hydrological fieldwork in river systems' CIE5471) and supervise several students at PhD, MSc and BSc level for their additional or final thesis.
