Responsible for Team Lionbridge and their welfare

Lionbridge Mumbai is a Centre of Excellence for the Global Content and Engineering SBU with more than 200 FTEs working on e-learning and technical writing projects for Lionbridge customers world wide. As Director of Content Operations of Lionbridge India, I am responsible for the following: • Execution and delivery of technical writing projects from the Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore locations of Lionbridge, for global clients • Execution and delivery of e-learning projects global training/education providers from the Lionbridge Mumbai and Chennai offices • Tracking and managing the utilization and billing of 200+ resources using ERP systems, like SAP, for various skills such as Writing, Graphics, Instructional Design and Integration (Web Development) • Interacting with customers in different geographies on business strategies and execution models • Interfacing and co-ordinating with various local support departments like HR, Finance and Quality Assurance for employee welfare, budgeting and forecasting, and business metrics • Interfacing with Corporate Head Quarters for forecasting, budgeting and business health of the SBU and supporting the global sales force for estimating and finalizing large bids • Motivating and retaining employees including deciding the compensation package, performance bonus and yearly increments

During this tenure, I was responsible for the Technical Writing business of Lionbridge Mumbai: • Played a key role in growing the business back after the global economic downturn in 2008 -2009, by partnering with the sales team and customers and introducing the highly successful blended model • Developed more clients in the portfolio, prominent of them being Samsung, Nokia, and Kone • Initiated the Lionbridge and HP India Technical Writing partnership in 2009 in Bangalore when products supported in the US were moved to Bangalore • Anchored the offshoring of many HP projects to India between 2007 to 2009 • Personally designed and implemented end-to-end onboarding processes and training programs, to induct and train fresh graduates of different educational disciplines into successful technical writers • Built a Resource Mix Model and Recruitment Model to optimize cost without impacting quality • Nurtured and grew the technical writing team from 4-5 members to more than 60 in India to complement the same number in US

During this tenure, I worked hands-on as technical writer and content designer for many of the clients of Lionbridge, mainly HP, Pearson and Net-G (Skillsoft)
