MediciBIO Co., Ltd. is a biotechnology company dedicated to developing advanced gene delivery platforms and innovative genetic therapeutics. Since its foundation in 2021, and inspired by the concept of the “Medici Effect”, MediciBIO has generated breakthrough ideas by integrating drug delivery systems (DDS) with biotechnology, creating a novel fusion technology that positions us for the future era of gene therapies. We focus on the research and development of next-generation lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technologies as clinically validated gene delivery tools, along with RNA-based therapies that include treatments for genetic diseases, cancer therapeutics, and vaccines. Medici systemic LNPs demonstrate superior gene delivery efficacy after intravenous (IV) administration compared to LNPs formulated with FDA-approved ionizable lipids (MC-3 or SM-102). This advantage makes them highly suitable for RNA or DNA therapeutics requiring multiple or repeated dosing. Medici local LNPs show efficient localized gene delivery to muscle while minimizing undesired systemic exposure following intramuscular (IM) injection. This property supports the development of more effective and safer RNA vaccines, including cancer vaccines. In addition, we are advancing extrahepatic LNP delivery systems targeting cancer, fibrotic tissues, and immune cells through our proprietary “Medici Targeting Lipids.” With these innovations, we remain committed to delivering meaningful therapeutic benefits to patients through our next-generation gene delivery technologies.
