Responsible for for all air export tasks including, training for TSA and other Government Agencies revisions and updates, air export KPI’s, file postings, department budgets, local cartage negotiations as well as spot rate request directly with core carriers. Services included; IATA, consolidation, back to backs DG and high value shipments. Major clients under my air export responsibilities include; Princess Cruises, Seabourn, NCL , Costa, Steiner Trans-ocean. Also as department lead I am responsible for any corrective acting request in identifying the root cause and correction actions. In addition my department also handles Dangerous goods Shipments and Perishable. Accounts handle are Visteon systems, Beckman Coulter, Swisher Hygiene. My team provides excellent and timely customer service by proactively informing clients of the status of their shipments, answering questions and referring advance technical questions to assist our clients with their orders. As department Lead I helped my co-workers with matters from export documentation to ensure all require export documents are prepared including export licenses and import permits. I also joined our sales team on their calls to help support the sales efforts.

Air export Manager and Lead for the Southeast Region

Develop and Maintain excellent service to internal and external customers. Follow up freight availability status. Arrange, book and confirm cargo space on flights. Receive, review, and process export documentation. Issue master airway bills for export consolidations. Negotiate spot rates with airlines for oversized shipments. Supply customers with different options on rates and service. Prepare paperwork for US Customs. Updated computer with correct flight schedule and information. Coordinate space with airlines for daily and weekly shipments. Notify customers and other Stations of any issues or concerns that may at arise.

Responsible for the cost efficient movement of shipments. Manage, supervise and train customer service, data entry and/or dispatch, and warehouse personnel assigned to the respective shift. Ensure prompt and accurate completion of all paperwork associated with movement of inbound and outbound shipments. Ensure timely pick ups, recoveries, deliveries, and airlines and agent selection, while maintaining cost control. Communicate pending work and/or unresolved problems to the following shift personnel, and the operations manager. Assist in the preparation and approval of rate quotes or shipment costing internal and external customers. Perform other duties as assigned.
