In my role as the Chief Database Architect at Synerise I lead the development of an advanced and cloud native database engine that aims to give us an edge in real time Online Transaction Processing (OLTP). My main areas of focus include; 1. Designing Innovative Architecture; Creating a database architecture that excels in handling concurrency situations ensuring seamless processing of real time transactions specifically designed for cloud environments. 2. Integrating OLAP; Implementing an Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) layer to enable queries without compromising the performance of transactional systems. 3. Optimizing Performance; Continuously improving database performance to meet the demanding requirements of user facing applications guaranteeing reliable access to data. 4. Ensuring Scalability and Reliability; Making sure our database engine scales efficiently with our expanding customer base while maintaining reliability. 5. Providing Strategic Leadership; Aligning our database strategies with business objectives to support Synerises growth and innovation in data processing. 6. Promoting Technology Adoption; Advocating for the adoption of database solutions, within Synerise. Positioning our technology as a market leader. Working together with engineering, product and data science teams is vital to ensure that our database solutions meet the changing requirements of our clients and remain at the forefront of market trends.
