Milind Kamble

Dr. Milind Prahlad Kamble (b. 17 February 1967) is a civil engineer, entrepreneur, Policy Maker and the Founder Chairman of Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI), the first Indian commerce association to promote entrepreneurship in the oppressed Dalit community of India. He is the recipient of Padma Shri at 2013, the fourth highest civilian honour conferred by the Government of India. On the VIII Convocation of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, Central University, Lucknow, on 11 November, 2019 awarded the Honorary Doctorate Degree in Doctor of Science, (D.Sc.) Honoris Causa to Shri Milind Prahlad Kamble. Milind Kamble is known for his out-of-the-box thinking and decisions. Even though the facility of reservation was available to him, he refused to accept a job under quota. Even when enrolling his daughter for her graduate programme, he did not avail of this facility. Entrepreneur: After completing Civil Engineering, Milind Kamble worked in the private sector for about 5 years before starting his own business as a civil contractor. He established his own company Milind Kamble Civil Engineers & Contractors in 1993 and later on, in 1997, established Fortune Construction Company. During the last two decades or so, this company has worked on various infrastructure projects in Maharashtra and elsewhere like the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Baramati Water Supply Scheme, a number of tunnels, dams, canals, bridges etc. The entrepreneurial spirit of Milind Kamble has also triggered him to start other businesses, one of them engaged in the Men’s Apparel Business he owns Brand Menander and in Leather Brand Le Dharavi, He is Chairman - Superb MAA Housing & Infrastructure LLP, & Superb MAA Developers LLP - Under construction of 6200 units nearly 6 Million SFT Residential & 1 million SFT Commercial Spaces, more than 12,000 Cr INR, MASS Housing two projects are at Panvel, Mumbai.
