I greeted and signed in visitors to the Rancho Los Cerritos, introducing them to the site, describing amenities, and answering initial questions. I also processed gift shop transactions.

I helped train chatbots to respond to user-generated prompts by editing and reviewing their output, ensuring proper tone, readability, and accuracy.

I coordinated the transmission of documents and information via Flexport's web portal for Ocean LCL shipments in transit between seaports and Flexport's deconsolidation warehouses. I ensured all data was accurate and entered in a timely manner. I communicated any updates, special requests, or exceptions to the appropriate stakeholders to facilitate speedy resolution in the event of any problems or concerns.

I created daily shipment tracking reports via Microsoft Excel and EDRAY's proprietary web platform, including the use of pivot tables and other advanced functions. I presented these reports to our client (a large furniture retailer) via Microsoft Teams every afternoon to ensure alignment on priorities and task management. I coordinated pickup/delivery requirements with carriers and worked with them to clarify requirements and resolve any issues with cargo documentation.

I was hired into a two-year rotational program, wherein I'd spend six months in four different roles before landing in my final placement. In my first rotation, I also reviewed the bill of materials for each server to ensure customer requirements were properly captured for our procurement team and outsourced assembly partners. In my second rotation, I managed production planning for an array of CPU SKUs, ensuring that production capacity was available to fill customer orders and maintain appropriate inventory levels per management's guidelines. In addition, I also participated in team-building activities with other recent college graduates for professional development and training in soft skills, such as business etiquette, presentation delivery, cross-functional collaboration. I was also able to attend a two-day high-level strategy summit at the Intel headquarters in Santa Clara and observe as directors set strategy, guidance, and planning priorities as part of an effort to streamline logistics processes across multiple business units and product lines.

I wrote articles and blog posts keeping stakeholders informed of our research center's initiatives in promoting research and educational opportunities in transportation and logistics, which were delivered via news briefings created in Constant Contact and our center's quarterly newsletter. I participated in grant-funded projects conducted in partnership with other educational institutions, private-sector partners, and national, state, and local government agencies. I was primarily tasked with policy analysis, survey and interview administration, and academic writing. I collaborated with team members to plan and facilitate our center's continuing education courses as well as a variety of outreach events, including an annual industry town hall gathering, an annual research conference, and academic speaker series.
