Research project: "Competition problems in the Liberalized Electronic Communications Sector: Regulatory and Competition law Solutions to Promote Effective Competition"

Investigation of antitrust cases, assessment of mergers and state aids, providing legal advice to the Members of the Commission and to the Chairman; administrative functions with regard to work organization in the directorate, correspondence in English and French, participation in the negotiations on Chapter 6 “Competition” with the EU, representing Bulgaria in the OECD Global competition forum and participation in events organized by international organizations, preparation of programs for staff training in cooperation with the American Bar Association, training of judges and civil servants in competition law and policy

Advice on designing a start-up strategy; Management consulting and drafting of cooperation contracts, IP licensing agreements, Non-disclosure agreements; Support in drafting projects for EU and national funding. Advice on business strategies with specific focus on strategic partnerships. Advice on regulatory compliance regarding cross-border activities. Regulatory compliance regarding safety of newly developed electronic equipment and devices.

Legal advise and drafting of the report on "Universal Service Obligation in the EU" commissioned by a telecoms incumbent

* Assisting the Unit in analyzing ongoing cases and legislative reforms in the fields of mergers, antitrust and state aid * economic and/or legal background research * assisting and participating in meetings on all aspects of competition policy and preparing reports on them * performance of administrative duties, such as drafting of the unit’s meeting minutes
