About 12 years ago, I was living in Shanghai and had just done my 15 years in investment banking and fintech consulting. I was personally feeling run down and in despair at the environmental situation. I decided to put myself on a personal development journey to understand what it is to be human, what is our potential and responsibilities. In the beginning of that journey I spent a year with a shaman in northern Thailand which connected me back to myself and to nature. Then over the next 10 years I studied regenerative agriculture, land regeneration, permaculture, trauma healing, human wellness, nutritional psychology, sexuality and intimate relationships and community/organisational culture. I became really interested in traditional cultures and villages and how we lived 200 years ago as well as smart city technologies and how we can combine the best of the modern world with the best of the traditional world. This led me to the understanding of the potency of ecovillages and how they give us great leverage in creating a healthy society in all aspects of society. In the end to be a fully healthy individual, need to be surrounded by a healthy environment and culture. Let’s create that together.
