As an Equity Partner at Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP (SMB), Mike is a nationally recognized litigator and business advisor who has successfully represented a diverse clientele in complex and high-stakes cases across the country. With over 18 years of experience, Mike has extensive knowledge and skill in product liability, class actions, MDLs, and commercial disputes. He has helped a broad array of clientele, from small, privately held companies to Fortune 500 companies, including manufacturers, distributors, banking institutions, construction companies, and insurers. He has also been honored with the Trial Lawyer Excellence Award for achieving an outstanding defense verdict in a product liability case and has been selected as one of Illinois’ “Forty Under 40 Attorneys to Watch” by Law Bulletin Media. Mike is a frequent author and speaker on topics related to his field of expertise and has published multiple articles in reputable journals and newsletters. Mike is passionate about delivering exceptional service and value to his clients and leveraging his legal acumen and strategic insight to help them achieve their goals. Mike currently serves as the Chairman of the Product Liability Practice Group and has previously led the Recruiting Committee and the Commercial Litigation Committee.
