During my terms on the DKA, we made some great strides for downtown Kelowna. Working with the businesses in the downtown core we identified what they felt were stumbling blocks to their success - traffic, safety, security, friendliness for tourism. We went about changing the culture of downtown - adding alley lighting to encourage positive activity, removing dumpster issues by bringing in a better system of refuse pickup, had the street side tourism information signs created and installed and worked closely with the City on many other initiatives.
