• Work closely with product teams to ensure purchasing process integration in new product development projects as assigned, ensuring upstream purchasing involvement • Manage project sourcing including supplier pre-qualification, budgetary RFQs, supplier selection, and contract award in cooperation with commodity management • Manage supplier relations throughout product creation process and secure commercial agreements for the product development cycle to ensure program cost, quality, PPAP and launch readiness project targets are met • Capture Category needs related to purchasing and coordinate with commodity management so that future product requirements are understood and transferred, ensuring timely technological or supply solutions • Work with commodity management to challenge the existing supply base to ensure excellent solutions based on group standardization and market innovations from suppliers • Participate in Make or Buy decisions and provide a commercial and purchasing perspective in such decisions • Manage project risk, timelines, and work to ensure overall project transparency to support flawless launch • For OEM products related to the product category, drive responsibility for commodity management, including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, performance management, and contract management • Responsible for recording and tracking of project cost from initial BOM development from part development through launch. Responsible for delivery of projects within established cost parameters, meeting or exceeding (savings) overall project expenditure.

Responsible for procurement of all outsourced metal fabrication.
