Duties included new client sample testing using the Izon qNano and qEV, maintaining Izon's sales and client database, and recording and characterizing TRPS publications. Client samples tested include drug delivery liposomes, human blood-derived extracellular vesicles, polymeric nanoparticles and more. Worked with Izon's Chief Scientist to identify new target markets in need of TRPS technology. Utilized the combination of Izon's SEC column, the qEV, with its flagship nanoparticle analysis tool, the qNano, to produce detailed sample reports, providing particle-by-particle size and zeta potential, and size-specific concentration to both current and prospective clients.

Managed shipping/receiving of the Izon qNano and its associated consumables. Produced customer sample data reports using the qNano and assisted Chief and Applications Scientists in tasks such as customer technical support as well as instrument sales and marketing. Organized Izon's database to better reflect its target market by writing VBA sub procedures aimed at characterizing lead quality based on application field, location, funding, etc. Gained insight into the workings of a small business as well as the knowledge of the scientific instrument sales process.

Interned at the National Cancer Institute, learning the basics of PCR-based genotyping. Worked in Dr. Mary Carrington's laboratory of Killer immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) and HLA genotyping, successfully typing around 230 DNA samples for KIRs.
