After careful consideration and consultation with my family and friends, I am very happy to announce that I have accepted a Superintendent position with Bockstael Construction. I look forward to working and gaining experience with the well-rounded team in place already. I am excited to be providing an excellent "Client for Life" experience throughout all stages of the project from start to finish. While onsite Safety, People and Cost are the guiding principles to build and maintain the relationships new and old for today and into the future.

Attend and document meeting minutes with owners and/or their representatives as well as project consultants. Review Drawings/documents for errors or omissions in conjunction to the estimate and quantity take offs. Ensure permits are place during the course of a projects duration. Maintain a schedule and co-ordinate labour force onsite. Review and check all work in progress to ensure accuracy and quality of work and that it keeps to schedule. Document daily activities onsite, maintain formal documentation pertaining to meetings held, concerns addressed and presented. Prepare purchase orders for the Construction Supervisors approval.

As a Assistant Construction Supervisor my duties include: Attending owner/subtrade meetings, taking notes then forwarding the meeting minutes to the Construction Supervisor for approval. Prepare purchase orders for Construction Supervisors/Managers approval. Fill out and submit daily logs complete with Job Hazard Assessment once approved by Construction Manager. Assist in monitoring trades on site, reporting to the Construction Supervisor. Be a part of Site safety inspections , assist in monitoring site safety , report any infractions, accidents or concerns to the Construction Supervisor for the project.

Assisted in carrying out and calculating surveys, by rod and level, for the purpose of asphalt resurfacing of roadways. Was able to design asphalt overlay to necessary requirements (grades) with minimal supervision. Also, gave elevations to construction crews when needed to ensure proper drainage and slopes are being built into new / existing projects around the City of Winnipeg.

Foreman , Red Seal Bricklayer , erecting / working with scaffold , filled out safety paperwork. Safety is #1. As a foreman, I kept track of workers hours. Worked closely with other trades to get the job done on time and on budget. Able to interpret blueprints.

Worked as a Foreman on various different projects including The Canadian Museum of Human Rights, Brandon Police Station, Axworthy Health and Rec Plex at the U of W and Part of the company’s Health and Safety Committee. Kept track of worked hours. Worked closely with other trades to get the job done on time and budget Responsible for the safety of workers and filling out the necessary safety documents. Trained new workers in the job of safety, and safety rep.

Recently completed the Civil Engineering Technology - Geomatics Program at Red River College, in Winnipeg. Graduation was in June 2021.
