Pipeline engineer for a new oil sands pipeline in Canada. Role included creating project-specific supplements to client’s standard construction practices, completing a comparative review of ASME and CSA piping specifications, reviewing pipeline routes for three alternative paths, calculating the required right-of-ways for pipeline installation, and performing wall thickness calculations according to ASME B31.3.

Process engineer providing engineering support to various topsides, subsea and pipeline integrity projects. Responsibilities included generating production models using HYSYS, creating PFDs, P&IDs, line sizing, equipment sizing, debottlenecking, fluid characterization using Multiflash, high-level flow assurance modeling using PIPESIM and participated in HAZIDs and HAZOPs. Provided support for pipeline integrity team. Responsibilities included serving as a primary interface between field crews and the client, preparing change orders for increased scope of work for ongoing surveys and generating daily progress reports from each survey crew.

Responsibilities include creating and reviewing process and utility PFDs and P&IDs for LNG FEED studies and EPC projects, creating material selection diagrams, performing line sizing calculations, generating line lists, equipment lists, participating in HAZOPs, participating in 3-D model reviews and leading client P&ID reviews. Currently serving as a company representative for PIP’s P&ID Committee. Attends quarterly meetings with representatives from various EPC and Owner Operators to write a practice that provides requirements for P&ID format and content. This standard has completed its review process and is expected to be released in 2018.

Provided engineering support for offshore platforms and operations support. Responsibilities included updating GAs, Fire Control & Safety Plans, writing a fluid handling plan for a flexjoint replacement project, completing a FEED Review for the expansion of an existing chemical injection system, generating demolition work packs and performing line sizing and PSV sizing calculations. Provided engineering support for onshore projects. Responsibilities include performing line sizing, wall thickness and equipment sizing calculations, generating equipment data sheets and providing long descriptions for ball, check, gate and globe valves for new pipe specifications.
