The role of Director of Construction is to be actively involved in pre-construction with value engineering and assisst the team in getting the project started. During construction I will oversee and support the project team to ensure a smooth flow of work resulting in a safe and efficient enviroment for all team members of the projet.

For the pursuit of major projects, this role is to assist and/or develop detailed schedules, logistic drawings and budgeting of various aspects of the project. This role is responsible to create a team of people to successfully manage all aspects of a project, which includes the most senior members of the team to an entry level role. This role is also required to act as a leader and support for all projects in the area. Also if and when issues arise on a project the role is the first point of contact to assist in resolving items where the project team may need support. Through the course of construction perform regular reviews of all projects to ensure success and provide support if and when required as this role is directly accountable for the success of the projects in regards to client satisfaction, financially, logistically and subtrade relationships This role is required to Identify strategies for continued improvement and assisting in developing training programs for all aspects required for the area.

Within EllisDon the Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of construction from financial to execution from the time of award to full and final close out if the projects. This includes but not limited to creating teams to manage the projects and providing support when and where required through the course of construction and providing regular audits as required to ensure a successful completion. This also includes liaison with various clients and subcontractors to ensure all parties are working towards a successful completion of the projects.

Oversight of all field activities and manage the execution of the project to ensure a successful completion of the project which is to run a safe project on time and budget.
