Beginning in 2012 our team led the bank through a disposal of roughly $150mm in criticized/classified assets, raised nearly $100mm in new equity capital in 2013, successfully redeemed a $35mm TARP investment from the US Treasury, restored our regulatory relationships culminating in the lifting of an onerous Consent Order from the OCC in Q1 of 2014 and achieved profitability in the same time frame. We rebuilt the community's confidence in our brand, partnerships with key community institutions and saw our bankers play leadership roles in key non-profit organizations across our footprint. My tenure as CEO of First Security can be summed up as a unique privilege to have led one of the most talented team of banking executives I have been associated with in my 35+ year career in Banking.
