20-plus years of helping people tell their stories. As a teacher, writer, and retired paramedic, I’ve spent decades rapidly assessing the communication needs of diverse stakeholders. Using research, interviews, and story-structure, I create clear, compelling, jargon-free narratives for both lay and professional audiences. I enjoy capturing voice, tone, and style for print, spoken, and digital formats. My work has been published in The New York Times and I am the creator of Medium.com’s “DayJob” Series, where 12 accomplished authors discuss the income-producing work they did to support their writing. Along the way, my own writing has been supported by grants and writing residencies from The Jerome Foundation, The Anderson Center at Tower View, and The Brush Creek Center for the Arts.
