Managerial: Management and organisation of personnel, logistics and equipment for the support and rectification of the avionics systems on the RAF's 40+ fleet of C-130 Hercules. Coordinate with civilian companies, for modification or update programs and logistic problems. Compile equipment performance and defect reports, servicing forecasts, aircraft documentation, Health & Safety, COSHH, QA, Work schedules, leave and trade training. Assess and compile annual reports on avionics personnel. Engineering: Upkeep of the various avionic systems of the C-130 K Hercules: Radars (Radar alt, Weather Radar) Communications (secure, normal, Sat), Flight systems (autopilot, flight director), navigation systems (SCNS, Doppler, TACAN) and defensive aids (passive & active.

Managerial: Organisation and management of flight line / HAS operations for up to 16 aircraft, logistics, 1st line handling and composite flight servicing of armed/unarmed Phantom and Tornado aircraft. Supervise aircraft flight servicing & ground handling operations. Co-ordination of aircraft documentation (F700 series). Manage and supervise an avionics team of 20 personnel for aircraft rectification, liaise with external agencies for logistic and support facilities. Organisation and allocation of tasking for the maintenance and upkeep of 10 laboratories. Personally responsible for the re-integration of an obsolete reconnaissance system for the Harrier aircraft. Engineering: Carry out the scheduled servicing, defect investigation & rectification of the Phantom and Tornado avionic, airborne camera systems, communications, navigation, EW and defensive aids systems. 1st line handling and flight servicing qualified on Phantom & Tornado aircraft. Member of QRA scramble starter crew. Tow, teach and examine aircraft towing procedures of Phantom & Tornado.

Managerial: Responsible for the upkeep, organisation and deployment of the Air Portable Avionics Workshop (APAW) whilst permanently deployed in Decimomanu, Sardinia. This entailed liaising with local security forces, government officials and logistic support agencies. Engineering: Carry out the scheduled servicing, defect investigation & rectification of the Phantom and Pembroke aircrafts radar and Air Cameras. Carry out 1st line handling and composite flight servicing of Phantom aircraft, a member of 4-man operational turn-round team and scramble starter crew for aircraft on quick reaction alert.
