Responsible for developing and managing the DRDL Nuclear Licence Condition Improvement Programme, ensuring that we continue to meet our legal obligations under the Nuclear Installation Act (1965). The Programme continued to deliver improvements across the nuclear safety lifecycle from Safety Case Creation, through to operations on the ground.

Responsible for managing an improvement Project which addressed how the business Captured, Planned Authorised and Controlled Nuclear tasks on board platforms.

Responsible for providing First Level Quality Assurance and support to both our internal customer and externally within Babcock’s First Level supply chain, assessing from contract review through to product despatch. I ensured that risk was captured and communicated clearly so as to facilitate issue resolve and improvement. • Creation/support in the generation of the Submarine Quality Assurance Course (SQAC), with the introduction of ‘Positive compliance’ (now regarded as industry gold standard) • Creation/support of the First level supply chain working group, which proactively identified and resolved risks before they impacted Babcock’s delivery

Responsible for providing support and assurance within an operational environment, undertook desktop Quality audits to ensure First level Nuclear and non-Nuclear requirements. I provided advice and support to all areas of production/commissioning.

Responsible for ensuring Radiological protection for both plant and personnel within an operational environment Supporting a number of high profile DRDL projects including refuel/defuel programme.
