Some would say that I am not your typical “Finance Guy”. Over a 15 year journey, I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to see and do more than most, and that’s part of what sets me apart from the crowd. At my core I am a data-driven finance and business leader with an engineering background rooted in project management. At Michelman, I lead the IT & Strategic Planning sides of the house. My team and I partner with our executives and senior leaders to align strategies, make decisions and create a meaningful impact on our business’s bottom line and direction. You’ll see below that my background is also non-traditional. I am originally an engineer by education, and I apply the same rigorous problem solving skills that I honed early in my career as an engineer to the financial world. At 29, I changed career trajectories and moved toward my passion. My MBA was concentrated in Performance Analysis, Management, and Leadership. Using these skills over the last ten years, I have branched out from engineering and mastered financial roles, leading the numbers side of businesses of all sizes by leveraging my strengths in analytical leadership. I truly enjoy financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and have deep experience planning for and measuring companies of all shapes and sizes. More recently, I have taken on a new challenge in Information Technology.
