* Underwrite Large Group new business prospects and renewals with over 51 average lives to achieve planned operating income, membership, margin goals and SG&A expense objectives. * Provide technical assistance to sales, brokers and consultants. Participate in special projects as assigned. * Prepare annual settlements for experience rated refund accounts. * Work with Underwriting Assistants in the submissions and approvals of New Business and Renewal rates and benefits. * Handle miscellaneous underwriting responsibilities such as approving claims and enrollment exceptions, reviewing new benefit booklets, preparing contractual documents and assessing rating

* Analyze broker submitted proposals and contract provisions and determine applicable rates for prospective clients * Partner with Sales and Account Management on broker/client visits. Present renewals, proposals and in-depth underwriting analysis. * Act as a mentor for other group members, assisting them with understanding life & disability products and proposal/inforce analysis * Perform support services for field personnel, including assisting in claim reviews, proposal amendments, and interpretations of risk-based research * Review and participate in year end deficit/dividend calculations for eligible inforce cases * Perform various analyses for inforce clients, including renewal underwriting, premium/claims reports, normative data reports, historical performance evaluations, and claims/profitability forecasting * Participate in various projects
