As a Buyer at Framery I’m responsible of component purchasing and ensuring that our production team has all the right components at the right time. I communicate and monitor our selected suppliers globally on a daily basis to stay aware of our suppliers capacity and possible on time delivery risks. I work in a close contact with Framery's sourcing, item data, supply planning, production, quality, partner support and logistics teams. Component change management is also one of my responsibilities. Together with our item data team I control component changes and make sure that our suppliers are aware of our component changes and schedules. Clear communication and providing up-to-date information to our stakeholders is crucial for succeeding in my current position. I work also in a close contact with our finance team to manage invoice accounting.

For almost five years as a Purchasing Engineer at Tamturbo I had a wide area of responsibility. I was responsible for all of Tamturbo’s component purchasing and daily communication with Tamturbo's suppliers all over the world. Providing up-to-date information to the whole team along the supply chain was crucial for succeeding in that position. I worked also in a close contact with Tamturbo's finance team to manage accounting and cash flow forecasts. Worldwide inbound and outbound logistics were also in my responsibilities. Tamturbo's logistic processes covered packing, documenting, and shipping our components, spare parts, and end products to our customers just in time. In addition to these we implemented, certified and preserved ISO 9001:2015 quality management system together with my colleague.

For six months, I worked as a Production Planner Trainee in Sandvik. During that period of time, I was responsible for spare part production planning. Production planning included constant communication with purchasing team, production supervisors, dispatch department, and main warehouse. I was also responsible for Sandvik factory’s reliability of spare part deliveries.

After the second year in Seinäjoki, I worked as a Purchasing Engineer Trainee. That summer gave me the experience of work that corresponded to my upcoming profession. Last periods in Gigantti supported this position very well. As a Purchasing Engineer Trainee in a big company, I was responsible for certain components and some of Sandvik’s suppliers. Constant communication throughout the supply chain all the way from supplier to production was on my daily basis.

During the early years of my studies at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, I wanted to get more diverse experience from different fields. Therefore I aimed for the commercial field. Gigantti was an excellent place to learn sales, negotiation skills and customer behaviour. At first, I worked in Tampere during the summer and after that in Vantaa during the Christmas season.

For three and a half years I worked as a mechanic for Riikonen Group. Riikonen group is a subcontractor for many global companies. Most of the time I was focused on mining industry machines. Those years included diverse work tasks all the way from hydraulic valves, throughout different subassemblies to the final assembly of various rock drilling machines. On top of that, I build subassemblies for container cranes. That period of time was an excellent phase to learn all from complex machines, hydraulics, electrics and increase humble work ethic.
