End-of-masters-degree project at Genyo (at Dr Marta E Alarcón Riquelme's lab). Basic bash and R coding. GWAS, EWAS, eQTL analysis. / Durante la realización del proyecto de TFM, en el laboratorio de la Dra Marta Alarcón Riquelme, adquirí los conocimientos básicos para utilizar Bash y R para el análisis de datos de GWAS, EWAS y eQTLs.

In this internship (at Prof Rus Hoelzel’s lab) I did extraction and quality analysis of DNA. I also gained knowledge in the field of Evolutionary Genetics. / Durante estas prácticas en el laboratorio de Ecología Molecular del Prof Rus Hoelzel, realicé análisis de calidad y extracción de ADN.

I worked as a summer camp instructor trainee, this work provided me with the opportunity to develop team working and creativity skills. Qualified to work in other posts related to leisure time and non-formal education. / Tras realizar las correspondientes prácticas de monitor de ocio y tiempo libre, obtuve el título de monitor de ocio y tiempo libre por la Consejería de Educación, Juventud y Deporte de la Comunidad de Madrid.

Translational and Clinical Research Institute, Newcastle University, UK. Funded by Kidney Research UK and Northern Counties Kidney Research fund. Thesis title: Investigation of the molecular genetics of renal ciliopathies. PhD degree obtained: October 2023. Brief synopsis: To investigate the molecular genetics of ciliopathy genes and to identify underlying disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets across the disease spectrum of renal ciliopathies, I used a wide range of cell based assays, including human urine-derived renal epithelial cells and primary fibroblasts. I also used the data available in the Genomics England 100,000 Genomes Project database to complement genetic studies, with a focus on Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) and Joubert Syndrome.

End-of-masters-degree project at Genyo (Pfizer-University of Granada-Junta de Andalucía Centre for Genomics and Oncological Research): Genomic and epigenomic integrative analysis of primary Sjögren´s syndrome. Qualification obtained in end-of-masters-degree project: 9.3/10. Average mark for the master’s degree: 9.05/10.
