* Serve as project lead on MEMA’s online mapping application for emergency planning and response; Supervise GIS and programming staff for ongoing development of mapping programs * Act as MEMA’s POC for Maryland’s Emergency Alert System (EAS) Program; Review and draft changes in policy for MD’s State EAS Plan; Interface with local jurisdictions to assist in development of local EAS plans * Perform GIS/Mapping support for the State Emergency Operations Center during emergency response activities * Conduct training to state and local employees on GIS and other technology applications for use in emergency management activities * Participate in numerous workgroups and committees involving State technology projects * Assist in overall IT support for agency

* Provided mapping support for MEMA’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Program and emergency response activities * Worked with state and local agencies to provide data to ESRI ArcIMS web application for emergency response decision-support * Managed and updated database and metadata for an emergency management mapping application * Certified by Department of Homeland Security to use and access Protected Critical Infrastructure Information (PCII)

* Worked as Assistant Coordinator to FEMA Region VI flood-mapping group * Gathered and manipulated spatial data to produce Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps for National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) * Created HTML help documentation and instructions for custom ArcGIS tools * Managed and distributed digital flood data to external clients
