My responsibilities include remaining at the bedside to maintain patient safety, maintaining the tidiness of the patient's environment, helping the patient with his or her activities of daily living, and providing comfort.

My responsibilities on the psychiatric inpatient unit included safety checks, hourly rounds, one to one observations, leading groups, assisting with admissions assessments and discharges, assisting with medication administration, and taking and documenting vital signs. Our unit specialized in the care of the Orthodox Jewish population.
