I'm excited to begin my new role as Director of Clinical Nursing Education at Providence College, where I'll apply my expertise in clinical coordination, curriculum development, and program leadership to prepare the next generation of compassionate, skilled nurses. My teaching philosophy is shaped by personal experience as both patient and practitioner, embracing Benner's novice-to-expert framework while integrating holistic care principles. I view nursing as both art and science—requiring technical expertise alongside compassionate presence. My experience as former Department Chair of Nursing at CCRI and former Clinical Coordinator and Associate Professor of Nursing at both CCRI and JWU has equipped me with expertise in program development, accreditation management, and clinical partnership cultivation. My background in bedside practice and as an educator grounds my teaching in evidence-based practice and quality improvement. My DNP research on community resource nursing implementation reflects my commitment to expanding healthcare access. International service in Guatemala and partnerships with initiatives like RIMOM demonstrate my dedication to creating meaningful learning experiences that benefit both students and underserved communities. Throughout my career, I've remained committed to advancing nursing education standards and developing healthcare leaders who excel in both clinical competence and compassionate care.
