Analyzed daily financial reports to determine discrepancies and variances. This involved verifying and reconciling the financial reports against daily transactions. When variances were identified, they would be quickly rectified by consulting with POS receipts and debit/credit receipts. Once the information was obtained, the financial report would be revised accordingly. Responsible for ensuring store was open and closed at the proper times to ensure customer satisfaction and to avoid a fine from building owner. Receive inventory, part of this role was to ensure that proper products were received as well as reporting items that were sent in error. Upon receiving inventory, all stock was to be put away in a timely manner, upholding the standards of aesthetics in place by business owner. Coach and train employees. I was successful in this role with being able to train and correct other employees with a gentle yet firm hand. This resulted in increased sales from under performing sales staff.

I was responsible for sourcing all avenues of advertisements. I chose to advertise through trade shows as well as the local business newspaper, as well as through social media. This resulted in large and small events that I was in charge of organizing. I had the opportunity to be a part of planning Wellspring Niagara’s event Starry Night, in this role I had to cold call businesses for donation of product used to decorate this event. I was able to receive numerous donations of decorations, either at a discounted rate and or free. Guest commented that this event had the most glamorous feel over any other year. Maintained the accounts receivable and accounts payable. I would ensure invoicing was sent out in a timely manner therefore wait time on payment was not past the month end.

I was the first employee to ever have sold a kitchen in the first week after training. With the keen eye for perfectionism being able to measure accurately was key to designing a kitchen and eliminated errors on installation day. This also created greater customer satisfaction. * I handled multi-line phones, Faxing, Filing, photocopying.
