Project management and tactical execution within the materials team to address specific issues that had arisen within the stock reconciliation and supply chain system within the facility. The project involved creating a “closed loop” process to eliminate the variance gap between system and physical inventory levels. Heavy team collaboration required therefore the project involved liaising with the purchasing, planning and inventory control departments within the site to reach a satisfactory outcome at the end of the secondment. This role involved weekly travel to engage with site teams, and the ultimate resolution of agreeing the solution and documenting a written procedure to ensure the issue was resolved.

Senior buyer – Medical/Aerospace & Defence

This period sees me gaining promotion to Senior Buyer for a high value medical account, and increasing my workload to cover a new aerospace and defence customer also. Main duties included managing/coaching/mentoring 5 buyers and being the customer interface for our team. At the end of this period, we transferred the business to Asia, and I became responsible for the supply chain transfer process from Livingston to Asia, one of the main objectives being a smooth and seamless transition to our China facility.
