Michelle Ho

Michelle Ho is a dynamic finance, operations, and strategic leader with an impressive record of driving change and growth during her career with UPS. An expert on the business landscape of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, particularly China, she bridged cultural gaps to scale operations across 110 countries. She served in several high-level positions and led multiple transformations and turnarounds. She has been recognized for her contributions with several awards and accolades, including being named one of Asia’s Most Inspirational Women in Leadership. To board service, she offers expertise in the following areas: Executive Presence: Possesses the ability to inspire confidence among team members, peers, and senior leaders. Led the team of UPS’s small package business and operations and improved the digital experience by leveraging global smart logistics. Global Revenue & Profit Growth: Achieved record profit while serving as innovative leader accountable for UPS’s small package operations and business in 41 countries and territories, including 13,000-person organization. Team & Talent Development: Motivates, grows, and retains high-performing talent while demonstrating servant leadership. Led APAC team through the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic and made significant contribution to record-breaking international revenue of more than $19B and profit of more than $4B in 2021 and 2022. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Acknowledges and addresses structural inequalities — historic and current — that advantage some and disadvantage others. Pioneered DEI initiatives by leading an all-female business planning team in South Asia and broke barriers as UPS’s first Asian female CFO & CEO of its APAC region. Served on UPS’s Women Leadership Development Program committee member. Environmental, Social & Governance: As President of UPS’s Asia-Pacific region, created a robust sustainability program and established sustainability committees throughout China that aligned with strategic objectives. Recognized with Public Affairs Gold Standards Awards for Thought Leadership, Issues Management, Crisis Communications, Corporate Citizenship, and Sustainability awards in 2023 from Public Affairs Asia. Global Leadership: Enhanced services in Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia; established ground network from Malaysia to Singapore and drove air network enhancements in China and Japan while reducing OpEx and identifying competitive opportunities.
