Logistics Coordinator
Argos USA (Formerly Vulcan Materials)
Jacksonville, Florida

Logistics Coordinator
Jacksonville, Florida Area
I worked as a Dispatcher for Cement, Fly Ash & Slag Tankers at Vulcan Materials Company. I ran over 65 Truckers all across the state of Florida and Georgia servicing our 40+ Ready Mix Plants. I not only scheduled the day to day schedules of over 65 drivers; I also handled countless issues of changes, breakdowns, cancellations and additional need for material during a working day. I work in a very fast-paced environment with very time sensitive material that must make it to the plants on time. I am constantly in open communication with the drivers via phone and computer working to sort the day's problems out to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible. I view it as a great challenge and almost every day it was a constant chess game.

I worked as the HP Computer Military Sales and Customer Representative at the bases here in Jacksonville, Florida! At my job I worked sales, helped our customers with troubleshooting and information on our products, I ran monthly product demos getting a chance to better interact and talk with customers about our products, check and keep stocked our products inventory. I also have held several training sessions for employees to train them about our products, what these products can do for our customers, how to talk to customers, how to sell to customers, and customer relationship management. In 2012 I was 3rd in the NEX system on the East Coast for average monthly sales.

Public Relations Research Intern
Parc Foundation
Jacksonville, Florida Area
PARC Foundation - PR Research Intern - Jacksonville, FL - 2011: Was a five month internship where as a team we built a campaign to help the PARC Foundation gain better recognition in the communities in which they operated. I was on the research team where I rounded up tons of information on the areas they operated and competition around them. Also, helped conduct two focus groups, which gave me a great experience on how to operate and run one.

Public Relations Intern
DPL Communications
Orange Park, FL
DPL Communications - Public Relations Intern - Orange Park, FL - 2011: Was an eight month internship where I wrote press releases for local businesses represented by the communications company, I did heavy research in competition to these local businesses, I ran several events including two sold-out movie premieres for charities in the area, we had several wine tasting events to help promote local small eateries (I promoted the heck out these events on whatever free sites, social media, or papers I could; this included distributing flyers through out the local community to encourage them to come out and support the small businesses in their community), also went and established new businesses for the communications company by visiting and connecting us with the local chamber of commerce to help better promote this small local communications business.

Public Relations Intern
St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra, & The Beaches VCB
St. Augustine, FL
St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & the Beaches Visitor's Convention Bureau - Public Relations Intern - St. Augustine, FL - 2010: This was a five month internship with the visitor's convention bureau where I wrote several small articles on what tourists could visit when coming to the area (including antiquing, the beaches / nature, the golfing lifestyle, and the haunted stories of the area), I did research and conducted street surveys to help find out what people knew about the area and why they were visiting, which led to some very interesting findings for the bureau to help better aim their ads and campaign to promote the area.
