Simulated and analyzed in Matlab the effects of phase quantization on performance of phased array radars. Also implemented an algorithm for phase-only beam shaping.

Developed software to automatically detect Tourette Syndrome tics in video segments. Although these tics are unique to each patient and occur on a wide gradient of visible intensity, we were able to train a tic detector which achieved up to 70% accuracy, matching trained experts. Studied and tested algorithms to create an automatic semantic segmentation of videos, giving every single pixel a semantically meaningful label.

Application Support Engineer at The MathWorks

Worked in a team of six to improve the decision-making process in the Kiva robots, specifically, when detecting obstacles. This involved system analysis and algorithm development, for which we created a set of tools for analysis and visualization. Ultimately, we were able to eliminate the vast majority of false positives in the system. We also worked to create a supporting infrastructure for the whole system, which will allow for repeatable and reliable testing in the future.
