I produce drawings, logos, spread sheets, call outs, vector art, elevation shots, night renderings, measurements, and concept drawings for the sales people to show their clients. My drawings not only provide the sales agent with imagery to show their client but it is passed along many departments after a job sells. Everything has to be estimated then looked over by layout and manufactured by layout before being installed. I have to be creative and accurate with all of my imagery and the information that I provide. Most of the time it is never a one shot deal, I am responsible for the revisions that come back from the sales agent, customer, engineers, and so on.

I have always considered myself to be an artist [still do to this day] and wanted to attend school for something that was in that field, I just didn't know what. I kicked around a few ideas like art eduction, painting, or even drawing [I would have went for Illustration but that major was not an option at the time I attended school] but I wanted to do something I could actually make a living at. Lets face it, the term "starving artist" wasn't made up for no reason. After talking to a few of my teachers they opened my eyes to the world of Graphic Design. It never occurred to me that Graphic Design is everywhere and anything can be a tool [such as paintings, illustrations/drawings, photography, typography, and many other mediums with in all of those categories] to assist a Designer accomplish their goal. At that point I decided to be a jack of all trades in order to be competent at my new found goal of being a Graphic Designer. Activities and Societies: It was nothing official but a group of us art students would get together to work on projects and critique each others work.
