Michael Batchelor

As a member of the Danish management team, I'm operationally responsible for Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Danmark A/S. I’m also directly P&L responsible for our 11 warehouses spanning almost 300,000 square meters. Together with my team, I’m accountable to develop and executing operational strategies to make sure our customers experience modern, high-quality logistics execution efficiently. It’s my job to make sure logistics, technical, purchasing, and facility managers have the resources and tools needed to provide the best-in-class service our customers expect. As a liaison for the sales team and transport managers, I do my best to add value to their teams and therefore play a role in our tendering and customer onboarding process.

Responsible for operations, customer service, and P&L for our flagship ecommerce warehouse, which uses a mix of automated warehousing robotics, as well as a highly-trained, highly-motivated staff to deftly and precisely secure, store, process and ship our valued customers' goods.

Employed within the Solutions Division at DSV, and am responsible for leading supply chain operations provided to our customers by our terminal in Taulov, Denmark. Working together closely, as a team, with a dynamic and highly motivated group of people, we strive to make our customer know that their needs come first every day. Each day is a challenge on our relatively new site, and therefore we see an increase in our quality and productivity almost daily. By using the entire DSV organization and Red Prairie WMS software, we ensure all of our customer's clients receive each delivery, on time, every time. In DSV our strategy isn't just a strategy, but a walk we walk each day; secure, easy, and effective.

My responsibilities include planning and overseeing all fiscal ventures and operations within RenoNordens East Jutland entities. I work to help plan all activities together with blue- /white collar staff to produce operational excellence, which our customers have come to expect. Coaching and guidance lay at the forefront of my ethics, and combined with solid day-to-day “kaizen” based improvements at recurring increments; we work hard to be the best every day.

Shaping tactical parameters in labor and materials, as well as day to day management of all logistics and distribution tasks. Working close knit, with other entities in Royal Unibrew, such as sales and events, installation maintenance and IT product developers. Adviser to Chief of Operations for Distribution Centers Midt-/Nord- Jutland.

Assistant to distribution manager and chief of operations, helping in daily planning and basic SAP flow.
