Motor transport maintenance chief supervises the maintenance, repair, and inspection of motor transport vehicles, and directs the activities of assigned enlisted personnel in a motor transport repair shop or facility. They assist the motor transport maintenance officer in all duties and tasks under his cognizance.

Provides customer service by acknowledging the customer and resolving customer issues and concerns. - Maintains merchandise presentation in the TLE Automotive/Service Area. - Operating and maintaining service area equipment, perform morning and evening security checks of TLE facility. monitoring the TLE for environmental, disposal and OSHA compliance in accordance with policies and regulations and ensuring customer safety and satisfaction. - Leads associates in the TLE Service and Automotive area by assigning duties, communicating goals, providing feedback and follow-up to work performance by job shadowing, teaching, ensuring compliance, and participating in the coaching process. - Makes timely and effective decisions, reviews and reacts to daily/weekly reports, keeps daily logs, maintains records in accordance with company policy and regulations.

Perform access control and patrol duties on a military installation for the purpose of safeguarding Government personnel, information, operations, and critical assets in accordance with a wide variety of Federal rules and agency/local regulations/policies. Performs security guard duties in accordance with appropriate regulations to detect and prevent theft, damage, accident, trepass, sabotage and espionage and to enforce the security regulations of the installation. Controls access of vehicles and pedestrians to installation. Verifies identification through use of identification cards, badges, automated records, vehicle decals, verbal questioning, and other means. Allows entrance to persons and vehicles with autorization. As initial point of contact, answers brief visitor questions, determines whether appropriate authorization for access exists, and provides assistance.
