My responsibilities are to motivate and build and run a team, ensuring the product is produced to the highest quality and meeting customer demands. People Management • Manage, coach and develop a high performing manufacturing team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements • Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required • Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing holiday allowances, recruitment, training, development, attendance, disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximise efficient productivity • Motivate and coach the team to operational success • Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them • Responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team by building working relationships ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. • Review worker performance and conduct yearly appraisals • Be proactive with a positive 'can do' approach, and role model our company values and behaviours • Work closely with new hires to develop their skills in order to meet company needs   Relationship Management - • Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and improvements • Liaise and communicate with other departments • Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Manufacturing activities • To be an influential leader, coaching and mentoring where required and have a working knowledge of Continuous Improvement, always looking for ways to improve process and the business.

Managed one of the shops/units after working my way up from cleaning duties and customer service. My role included, recruitment, stock inventory, contacting suppliers, banking and preparing products for window display.
