• Teach, mentor, and foster relationships with boys at a children’s center in the Mathare slum (second largest slum of Nairobi). • Create and organize income generating activities for the center. • Investigate land acquisition and necessary legal steps to establish a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in the form of a children’s rehabilitation center or secondary school in Kenya. • Teach computer, art, and physical education classes at primary school. • Work at a clinic performing triage, assessing whether patients are in need of immediate medical assistance, and delivering initial care when possible.

-Worked with teams and different business units to reduce waste in a number of different ways. -Investigated market supply inefficiencies that resulted in an estimated savings of $5,000 annually. -Developed the first user-friendly tool to enable capacity planning for engineering solutions products for one business unit (SCO) in Anoka. The same platform is planned to be used at other business units in the Pentair enclosures division at other Anoka business units, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky business units, and Reynosa, Mexico business units. -Worked with operators of work centers to more accurately assess time studies gathered to be analyzed and used as inputs to develop the engineering solutions capacity tool mentioned above. -Facilitated and participated as a member of a team at multiple Kaizen (continuous improvement) events and a 5S event. Initiated and carried out follow-up actions associated with these events. -Created detailed work instructions for material delivery optimization (MDO) routes. -Received root cause counter measure (RCCM), lean, and MDI training. -Practiced root cause counter measure methods in order to develop counter measures and reduce problems associated with on-time production, on-time delivery, and market count discrepancies. -Led training simulation for a group of new employees on a lean simulation that focused on the importance of 5S, MDI/visual management, standard work, and material flow at work centers.

Responded to fires, fire alarms, and medical emergencies. Used leadership skills as a member of a team to accomplish tasks in emergency situations. Distributed work to other Fire Fighters in the safest, most effective manner possible. Completed additional work related classes such as: fire fighter 1, Fire officer, EMT, and hazardous materials operations classes.

Sold and marketed products to clients including local businesses. Listened to motivational compact discs to educate myself in selling products and marketing to people. Used interpersonal skills to meet people and develop relationships.
