I was responsible for resolving helpdesk calls around the school site including support with SIMS.NET, Microsoft Office 2007 and 2013, faults with PC and hardware, networked printers, Apple iMacs, rebuilding operating systems and building windows images for deployment in IT suites. I was responsible for the maintenance of iPads on our site. With 1,000 iPads at Homewood School I was in charge of the deployment and management for Staff and Students. Using reserved scopes in DHCP I manually assigned and documented IP addresses to enforce the web filtering by Lightspeed, making sure staff had their needed resources for teaching. I improved the management of iPads by configuring profiles and supervising iPads for more control over the network using Apple Configurator on a Mac Server alongside LightspeedRockets Mobile Device Manager. I deployed apps using the MDM using Apples Volume Licensing. I was also responsible for communication with our insurance company for the repair of the iPads. I repaired the devices in house and processed the insurance claims to cover the cost of parts.

I carry out the installation, upgrade and maintenance of all IT Systems including but not limited to Physical and Virtual Servers, local network switch and cable management, backup and recovery, email, PC and application deployment, web filtering and antivirus. I am experienced in all domain applications including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, MDT, VAMT, Print Management and File Sharing. In the past 12 months I have migrated an aging 2008 domain to 2016, building new Hyper-V VM's to reduce physical hardware and better redundancy. Applications upgraded and migrated include Domain Controllers, Microsoft SQL Databases, Active Directory, Group Policy, Sophos Antivirus, Veeam Backup & Replication, Windows Deployment Solution (MDT, WDS & VAMT), WSUS, Papercut Print Solution, and RADIUS. I line manage the Technical Engineer Role within the department and have experience with appraisals and performance based pay reviews. I am also responsible for solving day to day Tier 3 Helpdesk Tickets.
