michael johnson
senior lecturer in exercise physiology
About
I am a university lecturer at Nottingham Trent University (UK) and have 12 years teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level. My teaching is mainly focussed on exercise physiology, with emphasis on the respiratory system, fatigue during exercise, and exercise training and adaptations. I completed my PhD at Nottingham Trent University, where I also completed my undergraduate honours degree: BSc Sport Science & Management. I am research active, and my primary research interests reside in the responses and limitations of the pulmonary system during exercise, dietary interventions for the management of asthma and exercise-induced asthma, and the aetiology of exercise intolerance. I've published my research in scientific journals and regularly present my work at international conferences.
