* Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Hurricane Protection Project, New Orleans, LA * Storm Surge Barrier Field Verification Test (2009) * Design task manager for the field verification test. * Responsible for the design team efforts: analysis, specifications, drawings, design. submittals, progress reports, work packages, meetings and communication with client. * Test design consisted of steel sheet pile cofferdam with hydrostatic loading up to EL +26 ft and support reaction wall. * Test was intended to verify the performance of the constructed storm surge barrier for its force-displacement response and floodwater seepage. * Client: Shaw E&I. Owner: USACE.

Activities and Societies: * National Concrete Canoe Competition: Co-Chair for the San Diego State University ASCE Committee, which bidded, planned and hosted the 2001 National Competition.

Activities and Societies: * President of Graduate Student Leadership Council for Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research (PEER) Center (August 2003 to August 2004). * Co-Chair and Co-Developer of the Annual PEER Undergraduate Seismic Design Competition (February 2003 to February 2005). * Representative to PEER Center and to the National Science Foundation (September 2002 to February 2005).
