As an Engineering Tech I started out in the R&D section making repairs and adjustments on concept, pre-production and marketed vehicles including other brands in order to complete tests on vehicles being considered to be brought to market and also to evaluate vehicles being produced by other manufacturers so as to build comparative and dependable features into General Motors products. Also to test particular options to be produced in future vehicles, testing these features on existing vehicles. Then moved to the "W" body group, that was Oldsmobile Cutlass, Buick Regal/Gran Sport, Pontiac Grand Prix, and Chevrolet Lumina Coupe. Saw that Project go from "Potato" to Pilot and first year out it became Motor Trend Car of the Year. I then went into the Corvette Group where I had a hand in the ZR1/LT5 Corvette and got to drive some of the major toys GM owned for comparison.

Dormant at present but still the west Coast distributor for Gliptone Car Care Products and Leather Care systems. Restorations and custom work on all years Corvettes specializing on pre 1962. Also delved into the world of British sports cars (and bad wiring), still have a love for them, just not the time. Paint, bumper to bumper/top to bottom restorations, custom paint, interiors modifications and all mechanical work done on location with a view to Hot Rodding. Corvettes East grew from a prior business, a gas station that went from fame of selling the highest octane fuel on the market (Power Test) to a speed shop then to Corvettes. Raced alot and won alot at the local tracks (Drag Strips) on Long Island...Westhampton Raceway, New York National Speedway, Islip Speedway (1/8 mile) and toured the east coast doing the points system in the Drag Racing Circuit...it was all fun....(till I got married) While in Phoenix it then became "Michael Motorcycle" but never lost the ambition to service Corvettes or do some crazy paint work.

A Combination of Gliptone products, mobil photography and custom paint, Excalibur West was a multi-faceted effort by myself and Mr Rob Faucher. We had a mobil photo studio employing a 20 x10 photo stage for motorcycles and their owners. We offered 6 poses and choice of one pose printed and in hand in 30 minutes for $30.00 framed an extra $15-$45. depending on the frame. We had the latest in Digital cameras (Olymus and Nikon cameras and Epson wide frame printers, both B&W and Color). We also displayed examples of several custom painted Harley Davidson fuel tanks that brought in work of similar nature to be done at the shop in Phoenix. These events were at various motorcycle and auto shows and events throughout the Southwest USA. Mr Faucher left the business to return to his home in Toronto Canada and I continued for a time without him but lacking his expertise and wit when It came to imagination in the photography studio I eventually closed shop and then concentrated on Motorcycles only.

I didn't only work here as an RRT, I also did my time in several Phoenix area Hospitals specializing in ED (Emergency Department...they changed it from ER to ED...why?...I have no idea but I use to tease the powers that be that at some point there would be an influx of old men looking for a good time!)...,.the horror of death was a bit much for me and I switched to Home health care and as an RRT I did really well and had a great reporte' with all my patients...it was the Estrogen powered base of this industry that made me go back to my roots....(and,....I like Grease!)
