Currently on a year development plan to learn, and assist the structural design team in, the structural design of corrugated board to provide bespoke point of sale display, retail ready, e-commerce and transit packaging solutions using Artios 2D & 3D CAD modelling software. Required to apply basic structural engineering theory and manufacturing knowledge of die cutting (Bobst & Century), gluing and folding (Visionfold & Starfold), 6-colour flexo (Weipong), screen and digital printing machinery processes to design effective solutions for manufacture. I conduct ECT and BCT testing to acquire the young’s modulus and ultimate strength values of board material, board analysis testing to identify suitable board grades and operate Kongsberg cutting tables and HMA guns to cut out and assemble test designs and samples to be sent to customers and produce machine setup resources for the production team. All this requires me to effectively communicate with customers through numerous sales representatives and project managers using EFI’s Shuttleworth business management software, phone and email, to satisfy customer requirements with high quality service.

As a production worker for a company that produces visors for motorcycle and safety helmets. I have a varied role in the manufacture, assembly, quality control and packaging of the company’s products for shipping. This can involve press cutting, linishing, stamping, moulding, studding and cleaning, where using numerous machinery and tools safely is required. I also help with the organisation and processing of monthly paperwork, dealing with customers by phone and email and the processing of orders.

As flexible student-friendly job, I delivered food to customers from Deliveroo associated restaurants on my bicycle for the benefit of my studies and fitness.

As a sales advisor, I hold relevant knowledge to provide great customer service and to handle complaints very well. I am trustworthy, polite and approachable and I am very familiar with the use of store tills. I always presented store stock in the correct, fashionable and neat manner upon the shop floor. I also partook in various back-of-house jobs and store cleaning duties, ensuring that they were all done to a very high standard.

I worked behind a bar in busy town centre establishment serving drinks and food where my customer service, restocking, till usage and cleaning roles were practiced and improved. In this role I bettered my ability to work under time pressures effectively - especially in the weekend evenings when custom was at its highest. Accuracy with orders in quick fashion whilst keeping a cool head in a high-pressure environment was always necessary and became second nature to me. I often worked night shifts, showing I can be flexible and valuable member of the team in many hours of the day.

As a festival supervisor at Bakewell and Lichfield food festivals, I assisted traders in finding their stall positions whilst helping them set them up. I had to confirm that traders had their trading permits to be able to legally sell. Throughout the day my role involved making sure everyone was happy and that the event was running smoothly. This involved gathering feedback to report to the manager and deal with any complaints or issues traders may have had. I also ran errands for the event manager when required to do so.

In 2015 took part in the Camp America program where my role was a counsellor and Lifeguard. This involved taking care of children from the age of 6-16 at a summer camp in Pennsylvania USA. The aim was to ensure that they all had the best summer of their lives. Having previously completed an NPLQ (UK) and an American Red Cross (US) lifeguard certifications, I obtained the role of a specialist at the camp as I was employed to lifeguard as well as a counsellor the kids. Counselling involved ensuring the kids were up at the correct time, dressed for breakfast and well fed at meal times. I had to make sure they made it on time to the activities planned for them throughout the day whilst making sure I was always present for my shifts when lifeguarding, showing great time management not only for myself but for the kids too. Counselling also meant taking the leadership role to resolve any issues that arose day in day out on their behalf, whether it was fall outs between kids or sudden cancellation of activities, I was always assertive to find a solution to such problems. Lifeguarding involved sharp skills in awareness and supervision to ensure kids were playing safely in the pool and at lakeside. It also involved building relationships with the kids in order to create safe, fun, productive swimming lessons for them to enjoy and develop their swimming abilities in the water.

As a pool lifeguard I had the responsibility of the supervision of a 25-meter pool, often for young children learning to swim, aiding them from one side to the other. I had cleaning duties and had a good understanding of basic first aid. With a great ability to work effectively within a team due to my assertive mentality and well developed communication skills, I also had to pass regular mandatory training assessments to be well prepped for emergency protocols.

As a customer assistant, my main role was operating the checkouts of a Tesco Extra superstore, dealing directly with customers and staff. This involved handling of large quantities of money and payment transactions in a fast-flowing sales environment where speed and vigilance was vital. At quieter times of the day I was also was involved the rotating of stock, re-stocking of shelves and product presentation. I was happy to be flexible enough to also manage the store trolleys in the car park in all weathers, thus showing I’m a reliable and adaptable to any role given to me. • I was also nominated as employee as the month by Tesco for my vigilance in preventing the passing of counterfeit money within the store.

Completed a dissertation project on thermoelectric generator geometry changes using ANSYS Thermal-Electric and EES software. Team leader in the design of an automated burger maker using software; SOLIDWORKS, CES EduPack, Microsoft Teams and Project. Designed, simulated and analysed quarter car suspension systems, heat exchangers and the impact of bolt cutters on a bike chain using MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape Multibody, Ansys Fluent and Ansys Static Structural Software. Studied operations management techniques and further simulated an efficient working manufacturing facility using Simul8 software. Other modules studied include; Mechanical Systems Reliability, Thermo & Fluid Dynamics, Mechanical and Motorsport Physics and Further Maths & Simulation, Race Car Anatomy, Electronics and Instrumentation and Manufacturing.
