Performed 3 different positions, each for a 6-month rotation. These jobs include:  Reliability Engineer: Developed plant PMs, audited oil/grease usage, and directed various reliability projects to minimize unplanned equipment failures. Conducted RCFAs and BDAs for 2 production lines to identify and eliminate repetitive failures. Capital Projects Engineer: Obtained funding, developed plans, managed installation, and commissioning of over $500,000 of new equipment. These projects included, aging infrastructure upgrades, process improvements, and environmental/safety projects. Implemented an additional $200,00 in energy reduction projects with an ROI of under 2 years. Maintenance Supervisor (Current Role): Supervise 2 production lines during record breaking efficiency in 2019. Manage between 2 and 10 millwrights in a union environment. Plan and direct quarterly downtimes for 20 union millwrights and contractors to resolve known issues and install process improvements.

Controlled and optimized plant wide predictive maintenance programs to limit downtime and reduce emergency repair costs. While running the programs, I managed contractors and hourly union workers to perform preventative maintenance tasks and repairs during plant downtime. To assess problems, I learned how to utilize vibration analysis, thermography, EMC testing, and ultrasound to analyze reoccurring problems and find creative solutions.

Designed and built a scrubber system to eliminate corrosive gases from coal power plant emissions. Assisted in the testing and development of cryogenic carbon capture technology to be able to design and build a pilot plant by 2016. Cryogenic carbon capture removes 99% of all carbon dioxide in power plant emissions and will eventually make energy production "clean".

Alongside engineering students from Penn State University and the University of Singapore, we focused on improving the sanitation of Singaporean food markets. Groups worked across international and cultural barriers to design and prototype new products. Design included talking to local Singaporean residents and using prototyping methods to develop products for full scale production in Singapore.

I assisted in teaching and led classes in machining and manufacturing. I helped up to 80 people manufacture small air engines and learn basic safety procedures on a lathe, mill, band saw, and grinding wheels. Our lab focused on teaching correct and safe techniques so that students could feel confident in the ability to machine and use those skills in future projects.
