Worked on and drove a self-proposed project that involved an explorative research and the design of extendable PCB solutions that were tested using a home-made rig and FA simulations. Additionally, worked on developing an NFC electrical architecture, pressure sensitive component compression overmolding methods, flex termination strategies and iterative button designs.

Worked on the iPhone’s inductive charging module and its ecosystem which involved further improving my CAD (NX) skills, designing hinge mechanisms, extensive R&D type testing and driving the development of inductive charging methods for a future product.

Worked on iPhone sealing strategies which involved extensive research, CAD modeling of strategies (used NX) to be tested and designing tests to be carried out. Additionally, designed mechanical test vehicles.

Unified three grease-gun extruder variants (straight, bent, flexible) into a single design using a multi-purpose locking hinge, which was prototyped and later brought into production, and improved grease-pump efficiency by redesigning the pump surface to reduce barrel residue.

At Sunseeker’s Shanghai factory (China’s third-largest gardening machinery supplier), I performed hands-on assembly and durability testing for production approval of engine-driven tools; by day three I could build engines unaided and modeled their components in SolidWorks.

I worked at Ron Arad Studios in their 3D Printed Eyewear Department, pq. I solved a problem involving durability of the hinges for one of their new eyewear collections. I sketched a design for a screwless hinge, which produced less friction and could easily be assembled, while reducing the cost of production. This was interesting because I realised how many technical aspects must be taken into consideration when creating a product. Subsequently, I built my own 3D printer.
