The Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code (CMAHC) is a nonprofit organization that promotes the health and safety of people, families, and workers at public swimming facilities. The CMAHC accomplishes this by supporting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC). CDC’s MAHC is a guidance document written that brings together the latest science and best practices to prevent injury and illness at public aquatic venues. The MAHC helps state and local jurisdictions save time and resources when they develop and update pool codes by addressing topics like designing and building public aquatic facilities, operating and maintaining such facilities, and creating needed management and policy guidance for lifeguarding and staffing.

Fair Districts Georgia is a non-partisan, redistricting organization that supports free and fair elections built on the use of fair federal, state, and local district maps that reflect Georgia’s voters.

Focused on promoting positive political action by mobilizing community action. Promoting environmental protection of Georgia, particularly the Okefenokee Swamp. Promoting free, fair, and secure elections while protecting voting rights through grassroots work such as 1) active political campaign canvassing, 2) giving community presentations,3) making public comment at state and county election Boards and to state House and Senate Committees, 4) Meeting with state legislators on proposed and active legislation.

Collected and tested facility-wide air and water samples for EPA reporting and product quality control testing for the Intalco aluminum smelter in Ferndale, Washingtonn

Studied HMG-CoA Reductase, the rate limiting enzyme in cholesterol synthesis. Worked on the catabolic pathway for mevalonate in Pseudomonas including transport system characterization, protein purification, cloning of the pathway, and sequencing/expression of Pseudomonas HMG-CoA Reductase. This allowed characterization of the kinetics of the enzyme, crystal structure of the complex active site, and delineation of the entire catabolic pathway.
