Mia Yi, CFA, FRM

Before Yale, I worked at RBC Capital Markets in Toronto, supporting international markets equity transactions and leading process enhancements in global settlement operations. The experience sharpened my attention to detail, risk awareness, and ability to navigate fast-moving environments across time zones. With a background in mathematics and computer science, and CFA and FRM designations, I’m now exploring how analytical thinking and financial decision-making come together in complex, high-stakes settings. Outside of work, I’ve trained in traditional Chinese dance and jazz for over 20 years. Highlights include performances at the Kennedy Center and on Canadian National Television, as well as multiple U.S. and international dance competition awards. Dance continues to shape how I lead and communicate through discipline, storytelling, and presence.
